The Village Kenmore is in the south part of the Town of Tonawanda and borders the City of Buffalo, New York, which lies to the south. Together with Tonawanda, it is often referred to as Ken-Ton. The village is in the northwest part of Erie County. The Village of Kenmore was incorporated in 1899 from part of the Town of Tonawanda. Kenmore is located at 425754N, 785218W (42.964907, -78.871679)GR1.

New York State Route 265, Military Road, defines the west village border. As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 16,426 people, 7,071 households, and 4,235 families residing in the village. The racial makeup of the village was 96.85% White, 0.99% African American, 0.35% Native American, 0.58% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.35% from other races, and 0.83% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.30% of the population.
